Scorecard · SEO & analytics health

Is your site actually optimized — or just guessing?

Metadata, headings, structured data, technical basics, and whether analytics is even wired up — most sites have never had all of it checked in one pass. Scorecard runs the pass and watches for when it slips.

No login. No card. Deterministic checks — your pages are never sent to a model.

Audit any URL.

The exact report you get for any public page, as many times as you like.

signals

Six things that decide how search engines rank and represent you.

01

Metadata & social tags

Title and description length, canonical, viewport, charset, html lang, Open Graph and Twitter card — present and correctly sized, not just present.

02

Headings & content

Exactly one H1, a real word count instead of thin filler, and how much of your imagery is missing alt text.

03

Structured data

Whether your JSON-LD gives search engines a concrete entity to build a rich result from.

04

Technical basics

HTTPS, response time, page weight, robots.txt, sitemap.xml and favicon — the boring things that quietly tank crawl budget.

05

Analytics & tracking

Is GA4, Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel actually installed — and flags dead Universal Analytics tags Google stopped counting in 2024.

06

Regression watch

Re-audit on a schedule. Get a Slack or email alert the moment a deploy drops your canonical or breaks your tracking.

pipeline

Audit, watch, get told.

  1. 01

    Audit any URL, free

Paste a link. In seconds you get a scored report across six categories — no login, no card.

  2. 02

Add the site to watch it

Scorecard re-crawls on a schedule and tracks the score over time, page by page.

  3. 03

    Get told when it breaks

A regression — a missing canonical, a dropped GA snippet, a robots.txt rewrite — pings Slack or opens a PR comment before it costs you.

plans

The audit is free. Watching costs less than one missed regression.

Monitoring is in private beta — the waitlist tiers open in order.

q&a

Straight answers.

Do you use AI to grade my site?+

No. Every check is deterministic — parsing the raw HTML, robots.txt and sitemap.xml, validating JSON-LD against schema.org. Your pages are never sent to a language model.

Will this guarantee I rank higher?+

No — and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. Scorecard fixes the technical and on-page reasons a search engine might rank or represent you poorly. Rankings also depend on content quality, backlinks and competition, which no automated tool can promise.

How is this different from Citable?+

Citable audits whether AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google's AI features) can crawl and cite you. Scorecard audits classic search-engine SEO and whether your analytics is actually installed. Different engines, different checks — some sites want both.

Can it check a staging or password-protected site?+

Public URLs only for now. Monitoring for authenticated and pre-production environments is on the roadmap.

Scorecard started as one of GitGud's free developer tools — the SEO & Analytics Audit — and grew a schedule, the same way Citable did for AI-visibility.
